Cow Face – Gomukhasana
Sit with the legs extended straight in front of you. Bend the knees, with the feet flat on the floor, and then slide the left foot under the right knee to the right hip. Stack the right knee over the left, bringing the right foot to the left hip. While inhaling, raise the right arm to the right side, parallel to the floor. Turn the palm upward and, while exhaling, bring the right arm behind the torso so that the forearm rests in the lower back. Move the forearm up the back, allowing it to become parallel to the spine. While inhaling, lift the left arm out to the left side, palm facing up, and then continue lifting the arm up toward the ceiling. Bend at the elbow and reach down for the right hand, hooking the fingers together if possible. You can also use a prop. Hold the position and then repeat on the other side.
