What is Ananda Yoga?
Ananda Yoga is a Yoga technique founded by Swami Kriyananda. The highest inner happiness is called Ananda, which is the Sanskrit word for bliss. Ananda is not an outer place, it is inside of us.
We can see the influence of the mind on the body during our daily life. So it makes sense that the more you are aware of your mind and body, the more they can work together for your spirit. Ananda Yoga emphasizes the friendship between the mind, body and spirit. This focuses on the connection between the Yoga positions and the attitude of the mind. Ananda also brings the powerful tool of affirmation into Yoga practice in order to help raise the consciousness.
Realizing the psychological and spiritual benefits that are possible by combining asanas and affirmations is what Ananda Yoga is all about.
